NEW YORK, March 22. . The Twitter logo depicting a blue bird, which was removed from the building of the company's former headquarters in San Francisco after Elon Musk acquired the platform and renamed it X, was sold at auction for nearly $35,000, the Associated Press reported.
According to the agency, RR Auction, which specializes in rare and collectible items, stated that the sign, weighing 254 kilograms and measuring 3.7 by 2.7 meters, was sold for $34,375. The purchaser has not been named.
Musk has previously auctioned off other items from Twitter's former office, including signs, souvenirs, and furniture.
The auction also featured other significant items from technology history. An Apple-1 computer, along with its accessories, sold for $375,000. A check from Apple Computer Co. signed by Steve Jobs in 1976 fetched $112,054, while a first-generation iPhone with 4GB of memory in its original packaging sold for $87,514.
