Applicants Raise Concerns Over GES Recruitment Portal Challenges

April 12, 2026

Prospective applicants have expressed frustration over technical difficulties affecting the recruitment portal of the Ghana Education Service after the announcement of new teaching vacancies.

On April 10, 2026, the GES called on graduates with education degrees to apply for teaching positions nationwide in Ghana. However, many applicants report that system errors are preventing them from successfully completing their applications.

Some applicants indicated that certain Colleges of Education were initially missing from the portal, forcing them to choose institutions they did not attend. Others noted that some class categories were already marked as full, making it impossible to proceed with their submissions.

An affected applicant, speaking anonymously, urged the GES to act swiftly before the April 17 deadline, emphasizing the need for corrections and improved access to the system.

Applicants are therefore calling on the GES to resolve the technical issues and consider extending the deadline to ensure all candidates have a fair opportunity to apply.
