NIA Announces Price Increases for Ghana Card Services

January 22,2026

The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced an upward adjustment in the prices of several Ghana Card-related services, citing the need to maintain and improve service delivery.

In a public notice, the Authority said the price increment will affect services including first-time registration, personal information updates, replacement of cards, nationality updates, and non-citizen card registration.

According to the NIA, the decision to review the fees is necessary to support operational efficiency and enhance the quality of services provided to the public nationwide.

“We wish to respectfully inform the general public that there will be an adjustment in the prices of the following services,” the notice stated, adding that the changes are aimed at sustaining improvements in service delivery.

The Authority expressed appreciation to the public for their understanding and continued support, assuring Ghanaians of its commitment to efficient and reliable identification services.

The NIA is expected to provide further details on the effective date and the new pricing structure in subsequent communications.
