Ghana Announces Visa-Free Entry for Africans After Historic Zimbabwe Visit

The Government of Ghana has announced a major policy shift to grant visa-free entry to all African nationals effective May 25, following a historic state visit by Emmerson Mnangagwa.
President John Dramani Mahama bid a befitting farewell to his Zimbabwean counterpart at the end of a three-day visit marked by strengthened diplomatic ties. During the visit, both countries signed ten Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at deepening cooperation across multiple sectors.
Described as historic,President Mahama stated that the visit underscored renewed commitment to regional integration and collaboration between Ghana and Zimbabwe.
The announcement of visa-free access for all Africans is expected to enhance mobility, trade, and unity across the continent, aligning with broader goals of African integration.
