U.S. plan for Ukraine: "Ukraine could be divided like post-war Berlin"

by Dorry Gladin Apr 14, 2025

US Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg gave an interview to the UK-based newspaper The Times.

In the news published under the title "Ukraine can be divided like Berlin after the war", it was stated that Kellogg proposed to "divide Ukraine into zones of control" after the end of the war, as was the case in Berlin, the capital of Germany after World War II.

Kellog said British and French troops could be deployed to areas of control in western Ukraine and create a "reassurance force" to prevent a resumption of hostilities.

Russia could control the east of the country, Kellog said, adding that Ukrainian forces could also be deployed between European and Russian troops, and a demilitarized zone could be created along the existing control lines.
