GoldBod Records Strong Revenue Growth and Reduced Expenditure in 2025
April 29,2026
The Ghana Gold Board has reported a significant improvement in its financial performance for 2025, with revenue rising sharply while expenditure declined.
According to key highlights from its 2025 audited financials, the Board’s revenue increased from 307.7 million in 2024 to 970.8 million in 2025, representing substantial growth within a year. At the same time, expenditure reduced from 129.7 million in 2024 to 109.4 million in 2025, indicating improved financial discipline.
The report noted that the reduction in expenditure occurred despite a major expansion in the organisation’s workforce and mandate, following its transition from the defunct Precious Minerals Marketing Company. While PMMC operated with a workforce of 114 in 2024, GoldBod increased its staff strength to 450 in 2025.
Despite this expansion, the Board maintained relatively lower operational costs, a development attributed to prudent fiscal management. This approach resulted in a total operational (non-tax) surplus of 909.7 million for the year under review.
The financial performance highlights GoldBod’s growing role in Ghana’s gold sector, as well as its focus on efficiency and value generation amid increased operational responsibilities.
