Prof. Nana Ama Browne Klutse Elected Global President of NDC Professionals Forum

Nana Ama Browne Klutse has been elected as the Global President of the NDC Professionals Forum.

The election, which recorded a total of 1,385 eligible voters, saw 636 participants cast their ballots, representing a turnout of 45.92 percent. Prof. Klutse secured a decisive victory, polling 577 votes, equivalent to 91 percent to emerge as president.

She was officially sworn into office today at a colourful ceremony held in Accra.

Prof. Klutse also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Environmental Protection Authority and holds the traditional title of Mpontohemaa of the Abura Traditional Area in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese of the Central Region.

In a Facebook post following her victory, Prof. Klutse expressed gratitude to members of the forum, describing the outcome as a “renewed call to duty.”

“I am deeply honored and humbled to serve as the Global President of the NDC Professionals Forum,” she stated, adding that the overwhelming endorsement reflects both trust and responsibility.

She pledged to uphold the values of professionalism, unity, and national service, emphasizing the forum’s role in contributing to policy development and addressing national challenges. According to her, the forum will intensify efforts to support inclusive development, economic progress, and sustainable opportunities for Ghanaians.

The elections also saw other key positions filled. Samuel Hans Wauku was elected First Vice President with 65 percent of the vote, while Eben-Kay-Kwabena Hodo secured the position of Secretary General with 53 percent. Dr. Joshua Doe was elected Deputy Secretary General with 95 percent, and Sophia Ama Otabil won the Women’s Commission role with 95 percent. Dr. Robert Doh also emerged as Youth Commission leader with 96 percent.

Several executive members were also elected, including Alexandra Mills, Dr. David Teteh, Dr. Faisal Sulley, Winfred Baah, and Tony Atsakpa Nyagamago.

Prof. Klutse concluded her message by reaffirming her readiness to lead and deliver on the forum’s mandate, aligning its activities with broader national development goals.
